Get Contra Tunes on Your iPod

05 19 07

Konami and Sony BMG Music Entertainment have inked a deal that will bring Konami’s library of music to major online music retailers such as iTunes and Rhapsody.

Developed by Gameloft, Prince of Persia Classic will have updated visuals that Ubisoft said give it a “close to 3D” look. Screenshots make the game look pretty sharp with nice lighting and definite depth, while still maintaining an unmistakable 2D-ish appearance.

New traps, enemies and puzzles will also be added to the game.

The game is slated for early summer and no price has been revealed.

Ubisoft has been relatively kind to the Prince of Persia brand since it re-envisioned the franchise in full 3D back in 2003 with the release of Prince of Persia: The Sands of Time. Ubisoft later released critically successful sequels including Price of Persia: Warrior Within and Prince of Persia: The Two Thrones for consoles, along with other iterations of the series for Wii and handhelds.

Thee Out Mods show/video clip

05 04 07

Thee Out Mods‘ are loud, energic, garage, punk, rock fun!  My second time seeing them live (as part of Judo Chop) and this time I made sure to stand up closer to the stage.  These guys (and girl singer) are all about energy and jamming loud.  Thee Out Mods are  SANA on vocals/guitar, YOSHIKI on bass and KENNY on the drums.  They had buttons and cd demos for sale.  The cd demo consists of only two songs: ‘Punk a go go’ and ‘Sakura’ which are both available to sample on their MySpace page.  I’ll be curious to see where things go from here - cause these kids know how to rock!
